Light bulbs and pins

This is another part of my colour project, these are taken out of a mold I made in ceramics of a Christmas light bulb and a pin, to make a mosaic type of feel, I made multiples of each and I am planning on putting them on a board to make it look like a wall piece, once this was don’t I used copper and magnesium oxide, I took the inspiration off a marvel character Harley Quinn because she always wears half red and half black, I think these came out great but if I was to do it again I would try different colours and also try different shapes to see if anything would have looked better.

Anish Kapoor

Anish Kapoor is an artist I looked at for my colour project, the main reason I chose him is because he   looks more at the colour than the object in question. I looked mainly at his red pieces because I choose the colour red, in the picture is one of his famous performance pieces, it is an industrial cannon that shoots blocks of red wax onto the wall, I looked at a video of this being done and the sound it makes is defining and the force he uses is major, the colour is perfect for this performance because it looks like blood. This makes it look violent and evil, which is what I believe Kapoor was going for, I would love to see this done live. I think that making the cannon shoot off a few times in a day is a good idea because then the artwork is still going on and you can not call it finished when it keeps getting added to the wax that is already on the wall. Kapoor is perfect to look at for my colour project because he is more about the colour itself than the actual object, he has done a fair few pieces of art work in red and he had inspired me to look more at the colour than the objects themselves.
